Online Music Guide

At the back of my mind,I always had the guilt feeling for spending so much money to buy an entire CD or DVD, just for the one song I liked.I always wished I had an entire CD with my favourite play list so that I can listen to them wherever and whenever I like.

Fortunately as I was surfing the net yesterday,I came across http://www.blubster.com/ , a safe, legal and fast file sharing network from where one can download unlimited numbers of their preferent artists. Another two sites which my friends, who are crazy about the Hindi bollywood songs, referred are http://www.songslover.com/ and http://www.songspk.com/ , which I am not sure if they are legal or not.

Its a pretty simple task to burn a CD after you have downloaded your preferred songs to your computer. All you need is a CD-R or CD-RW disk and a media player installed on your computer. My preferred option is Windows Media Player as it is very user friendly.

In the first instance, locate your downloaded songs folder. Click on one song and press Shift+A key to select all the songs.Right click and click on 'Add to Windows Media Player List' option. The songs will now open in Windows Media Player.Lastly click on the 'Burn' option in the player and the songs will be automatically adjusted to fit your CD.The extra songs that cannot be fit into the CD will be moved to another position to be copied to a different disc.

When the computer prompts to insert a CD, infix a writable CD and click on 'start burn'. However ,remember to follow the steps carefully especially if you are using a CD-R disc as once written the songs cannot be erased unless you are using a CD-RW.

However, one should be always extra cautious while using online options, especially a novice who may not be aware of the scams and frauds involved.A few tips which I would like to suggest from my personal experience are:-

  1. Try browsing the sites music gallery. If it asks to register over and over again without you being able to surf anything,it is a clear indication of something fishy.
  2. Try to download the software without signing up.If you are prompted to join merely for downloading their software, then something is surely erroneous.
  3. All most all sites display a screenshot of using their software. However, if you are able to download their software then skip this.
  4. Navigating to other tabs and links on the site is necessary. If it returns the same URL,it is sure shot scam.
  5. Hunt for sample tracks. If they are missing and the site hosts only the direct list of artists and numbers, then it should be wide off the mark.

Amidst all these, you will also find bands who distribute their music online or create their own site as it is feasible to reach a vast mass online.Hence, all you need to do is, be more mindful and cognizant before entering any site to download your best-loved music.

Dear Moonmee, you helped me a lot by writing music download tip here. I don't like to buy a whole CD -or just in very few occasions- because usually I like only a few hits from a singer's album so I feel waisting my money if I'd purchase the complete CD version. But now I can only download the songs I like and make my own CD!!:-))
