Aquatics Arcadia - Pattaya

Are you an adventure sport buff like me? Then your next travel destination should no doubt be towards the land of thousand smiles down south east Asia.Yes, Pattaya in Thailand,which is more known for its infamy nightlife is also the most favoured place for a plethora of aquatics like water scooter, sea-walking, diving,banana boat ride,motor scooter,para sailing,etc.

Ours was an overnight stay in Pattaya.We were escorted to the beach in the morning by our guide from our hotel,Central Pattaya( a 3* property), located at a 10 mins walk from the beach, not very luxurious and language was a major problem with hotel staffs.

A rustic boat ride took us to a coral island where numerous shops selling and renting water sports gear and beach wear presented a colorful array. Before reaching the island we were stopped midway in the South China Sea and boarded a ship for parasailing and sea-walking.



We were lucky to have a sunny weather on our travel day as winds and rough sea would have forbidden us from encountering this experience of a lifetime. Sealed with a life jacket and ropes all around,I felt a little nervous in the first instance. But,as the motorboat picked up speed and I flew high up in the sky,the fabulous view of Pattaya bay made me forget everything.


After flying high up in the sky my confidence rose and I didn't want to waste a second to dive down under the sea for sea walking to explore the vibrant marine life.But,to my hard luck,the helmet with its flow of oxygen was bigger than my skull and water gushing in from all sides made me fell uncomfortable.

However,since that is a common feature,my underwater guides kept me pushing downwards while I struggled to move upwards.After staying there for a while,I found myself at ease and began delving into the prismatic underwater life.

It was time to head forward to the coral island where we basked in the sun,built sand castles,made our adrenaline rush high by taking a motor scooter ride and a jet ski ride and wallowed on the beach for about half an hour.

You can even indulge in swimming,wind surfing,snorkelling,diving,etc as Pattaya sea is clear and at same temperature with the air all year round.It was time to head back to the hotel after a hectic and adventurous day.

But,don't forget to collect your flying,sailing,swaying and diving pics once you reach the beach.A sure shot way to make you feel nostalgic about your most adventurous holiday even after years have passed by.
