I have always been a fitness enthusiast and believe that a good health is one of the greatest assets one can possess in life as health and happiness are 2 sides of the same coin. The dearth of good health can take one into a somber world due to lack of energy and mental well being. Therefore, it of utmost importance to take care of one's health by regularly exercising and following a well planned diet to enjoy life to the fullest.
However, despite exercising a lot,my belly fat was intact and my weight was not reducing much as I was unaware of the right diet program. It is vital to eat right food in right quantities at right intervals. It is then that I consulted a dietician who recommended me a 2-3 months protein based diet which I would like to share with all of you as it had brought considerable difference in my life.
The program starts with a small bowl of oatmeal cooked in double toned milk, 2 egg whites and an apple for breakfast.
After a gap of 3 hrs an orange and some green lentil sprouts followed by lunch after another 3 hrs which included 3-4 pieces of grilled fish/chicken, a bowl of soup or Dal(Indian soup cooked with lentils) and a bowl of vegetables.
After a gap of another 3 hrs two plain biscuits with a cup of organic or red tea before exercising. After workout another apple and 2 egg whites followed by an early dinner with same food like lunch.
Besides, one had to increase the intake of water and avoid junk foods, pulpy fruits like banana, mangoes, figs, papayas with absolutely no high carb foods like rice, breads, pasta, etc, which of course can be started on small amounts after 2-3 months time.
To my utter surprise,I had really shed those extra kilos and my belly fat could not refuse to budge anymore. This not only boost my morale but made me more focused.
However, always remember not to lose too much weight that can adversely affect your health. Talk to your dietician to know how much calorie your body needs, check your weight often and adjust your food intake and workouts accordingly to enjoy a stress free life.
